But the pregnancy project did not go as planned. Countless pregnancy tests were used, but the result was always the same: not pregnant.
After several months, the frustration grew. But the fear also pushed itself more and more into the foreground. Wouldn’t Ruth and Ben be able to have children of their own? For more than a year, the two went through ups and downs, through tears and hope. Giving up was not an option for either Ruth or Ben.
