The 2022 Audi Q4 will be the first model in the lineup to receive a complete software update. This update is designed to make driving easier with less driver input and more automation, while still making it feel like you’re behind the wheel.

The most significant change coming to the car is that you can now drive up to 60 mph on highways without ever touching the steering wheel thanks to Traffic Jam Assistant. You’ll also get adaptive cruise control, lane assist and accident avoidance features to keep you safe out on the road.
With your eyes free to check your phone or watch for changing traffic lights, Traffic Jam Assist (TJA) allows drivers to maintain a comfortable distance from the vehicle ahead and at low speeds under 30 miles per hour without using either of their hands on the steering wheel.
It has three stages of operation:
Q4 stage one offers manual acceleration support when sensors detect moderate curves in front of the vehicle.
If no speed changes are detected for 15 seconds or if there are no curves in front of the vehicle for 15 seconds, TJA moves into stage two and decelerates down to about 10 miles per hour if there are no other vehicles ahead.

In addition to the new infotainment system, the 2022 Audi Q4 also gets a suite of other features and updates. One of these is Car-Net, which gives access to a set of online services. This includes in-car Wi-Fi as well as an app for remote functions such as remote door locks and window openers.
In addition, drivers can get up to date weather reports, receive notifications about traffic or problems on their route (such as accidents), and even find out how much fuel is left in the tank from their phone (two sentences).

The infotainment system will include a digital instrument cluster and an improved layout. Driver assistance features are being added such as automated emergency braking with pedestrian detection. There will also be new options for LED headlights, a heated steering wheel, and adaptive cruise control.
The Q4’s exterior and interior design remain largely unchanged for the 2022 model year
The exterior and interior design of the 2022 Audi Q4 remains largely unchanged from its predecessor. The front fascia, for example, features a familiar grille which is flanked by two large air intakes, with LED headlights above them. The side profile has been updated slightly to accommodate new door handles that have less of a bulge and are integrated into the vehicle’s body panels.
The rear fascia has been updated as well to include LED taillights that span across the entire width of the vehicle. Other than this change, the changes to the rear fascia are negligible.
There have also been minor changes made in regards to equipment and powertrain: Alongside other modifications such as a revised center console layout, redesigned steering wheel control buttons, smaller cupholders and slimmer A/C vents (among other things), these changes provide some noteworthy updates over previous models.
In terms of powertrains, 2020 saw a modest increase in fuel efficiency while maintaining similar levels of performance.
